Sandra wrote her dissertation while a Fellow at the American Academy in Rome in 2005-2007. Sandra’s dissertation is titled “The Balaneion in Magna Graecia:Tradition and Innovation in Western Greek Baths.”

In 2007-2008 Sandra will be in Greece; she has been awarded the Oscar Broneer Traveling Fellowship at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens.
